Our little Eva is already 7 months old and I absolutely LOVE this stage! She is so funny! These photographs were all taken within a minute. This is a photo overview of what she is like right now. (And yes, she is wearing P.J.’s once again. I’m telling you… I think babies look adorable in sleepers.

In my opinion there are at least two kinds of baby/kids photography: Portrait and Lifestyle/photojournalistic/documentary. Most of the time I focus on the portrait side, getting those great images that you you could frame and display in your home. These are mostly camera aware and have a more formal feel to them, although I love to add my creative/modern touch! =)

Having said this, since Eva was born I have begun to really enjoy taking “lifestyle” photographs of everyday life with her. These images are an example of this style. I probably won’t print and frame a 20×30 of them, but I still love looking at them because they capture who she is and a typical “minute” of her life. If you are interested in having your session focus on this kind of photography, please let me know!! But just to be clear, my main focus will still be modern baby portraits so please specify which your preference is as we plan your session.

Adorable Lucas and Grayson were 3.5 weeks old when I photographed their session. Lucas slept through the entire thing. Grayson woke up about half way through and wanted me to see his pretty eyes. =)

And a special request from their mama: Christmas Stockings (since they were born just a few weeks before Christmas).

It never ceases to amaze me how fast times goes by, and how quickly babies grow up into little boys or girls. When I “met” Leela for the first time, she was still inside her mommy’s tummy and now she’s 3 years old. And as cute as ever!

Mommy and daddy wanted an updated photo of just the two of them…

… but after a bit Leela and her dollie wanted in on the fun too! I love spontaneous hugs like this.

Our Element Albums are my personal favorite! Sometimes you don’t have enough wall space to showcase all of your favorite photos OR you want to keep more than just a couple photographs from your session.
