Don’t you just love receiving birth announcements in the mail? I sure do!

A few weeks ago we added 6 NEW adorable designs for you to pick from. These birth announcements come as 5×5 or 5×7 inch cards that are printed on recycled art paper. Your newborn images (between 1 and 4 based on the design) will adorn the front and the details about the birth will go on the back. All colors and text are customizable… you get to pick! These announcements, just like our holiday cards, are sold in sets of 25 cards with white envelopes.

A few weeks ago Lacey contacted me about doing a portrait session of herself and her younger sister, Leah. As we began planning the details, I found out that her mother has gotten their portrait made together every five years. I was so excited and honored to be a part of this tradition! Both Lacey and Leah are super sweet and so natural in front of the camera which meant that this was a super fun session!

They described their relationship as super close, best friends! Can you tell?

(I miss my sister so much! Love you, Beth!)

As you know one of my goals for this blog is to showcase some fun, creative and modern ideas for displaying images in your home. If you have children, I bet you have a million and one prints that you would love to display but not enough room to frame them all. A while back I came across this really fun idea from the fabulous Nate & Jaclyn Kaiser of The Image is Found (I LOVE their work!!) and I have been dying to share it!

This is my personal interpretation of what they have in their home.

These three magnet boards hang beside my desk (where all of the after-magic happens).

Just like the Kaisers, I bought the magnet boards from Ikea but I used magnets I already had. I still really want to buy these adorable ones from the Container Store that they used!

Isn’t this fun?

What I also love about this idea is that you can update the boards as the year goes on. The prints that come down go straight into an album. It’s a win-win all around!

Last weekend we traveled to Oklahoma to visit some of Cade’s family for a weekend on the lake. The weather was fabulous and we were so excited to see everyone again, especially our niece, Lyric! We hadn’t seen her since she was born and now she is 18 months old. Wow! She has gotten so big!

You sure wouldn’t know it from these pictures, but Lyric is actually very shy.

18 month old portraits of a little girl

I can’t believe that little Caroline is already 2 years old! I have been photographing her (and her family) since she was a newborn. It is such an honor to watch little kiddos grow up around me. How fun! At two years old, Caroline is so full of life and loves to run around (which is great because she has 3 older brothers to keep up with)! I love how expressive and outgoing she is!
