James and Chelsea are so easy going and fun to be around. Even though it was cold and cloudy the day of their session, we had such a great time together. I really am excited about working with them again in May when they get married.

I met Maggie for the first time when she was only 2 weeks old. She was so tiny then. Now, almost 9 months later, I can’t believe how big she’s gotten! She is too cute!

Last week I got to hang out with Rachel and Shaun, who are planning a January wedding. Together, we found some fantastic locations on the Vanderbilt campus. I am very proud of them for helping me make their session unique!

Oh, how I love this time of year. It’s just cold enough to wear a light sweater and sip hot drinks. I am not a huge fan of cold weather, but this 60-70’s range has me in a real good mood. =) Lovely!

Nick and Julie met me for a maternity session only a few weeks ago. Soon after, little Evan made his grand appearance! Yesterday, at only two weeks old, Evan was very alert. At first he wasn’t so sure about the whole “being photographed” thing, but Nick and Julie worked their charm. At the very end Evan fell asleep and I was able to get the “sleepy” shots.

Nick and Julie: Congratulations!! Evan is so cute!! I can’t wait to watch him grow. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this stage of his life.

What an amazing day!! Beth and Ravi planned an urban wedding at Aerial’s fantastic outdoor, rooftop venue on Broadway in the heart of downtown Nashville. All of the details were stunning! The preparations for the big day began at Hotel Indigo. Wow! What an incredible room! (Future brides- if you want a gorgeous backdrop for your preparation photos chose a hotel room like this!)

Just look at Beth’s shoes. I luv them!

Beth’s amazing dress was made by Maria Bishop at Romantic Creations. It was so beautiful!

We did all of the bridal portraits before the ceremony. As there was no bridal party, we got to focus exclusively on the bride and groom. How fantastic!

All of the desserts were home-made by Beth, her mother, sister and aunts. They were the best ever and so personal! Each one had a little note with the dessert’s name and who made it. So unique! And once again the staff at A Catered Affair did a great job with the food. The Steven Clawson Band had everyone dancing. It was a great party!

Ravi & Beth: You guys did such a great job planning your wedding. I am so impressed! Thanks for sharing your day with us!

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day. The sun was out but it wasn’t hot. Caroline & Chris planned an intimate wedding ceremony and reception at C.J.’s off the Square in Franklin, Tennessee. Once again their staff did a marvelous job of making everything look beautiful!

Note: I love, absolutely LOVE outdoor ceremonies. In my humble opinion there is nothing better than great natural light and the ability to move around during the ceremony as much as we like. We had BOTH for this amazing ceremony!
