Julie and Nick are expecting their first baby any day now. I am one of those people that think baby-bellies are the cutest thing ever and therefore I *heart* maternity sessions!

Together we headed out early one morning to get some pre-baby shots. There is no doubt in my mind that Julie and Nick are going to be amazing parents. Evan, you are one lucky baby! =)

Beth - Thanks for the referral! I am honored.

BTW - all lens flare and sun rays were shot in camera. This does not get added in photoshop. =)

Libby was a very entertaining and sweet little girl to photograph. As we moved from location to location, she would talk about any and everything. I think she would make a fabulous story teller.

I bet life is never dull when she is around. =)

Suzanne and Scott planned an intimate wedding ceremony and reception at CJ’s Off the Square in Franklin, Tennessee. We were thrilled to explore this old home that has been converted into a charming and quaint events center. How fabulous!

The details, cake, colors, flowers, food… everything looked great!

How cool is this? The guests were given drinks before the ceremony started.

Scott couldn’t keep his eyes off of Suzanne.

I LOVED how relaxed and personal their ceremony was. It was REAL!

Amy and the staff at CJ’s did a great job with the cake details.

Scott and Suzanne: thank you for a sharing a bit of your lives with us! We are so happy for you both!

George has a brilliant and creative mother! When she contacted me for a portrait session, I could tell that she put a lot of thought into photos of her family. She told me that in her dining room there was a framed collection of 3 black and white photos of each of her older sons, taken when they were about 2 years old, inside a black frame with a white mat board. Needless to say, I think the idea is fabulous! So stylish (did someone say Pottery Barn?) but so personal. I love it and I am so proud of this mom for coming up with this idea at least seven years ago!

Now it is George’s turn to be featured in one of these collections.

Isn’t he a cutey?

Shooting these two love birds was a bit tricky. The day we had scheduled turned out to be cloudy and rainy. Caroline and I kept checking the weather throughout the day to see if we were going to have to reschedule. Late that afternoon, after I looked outside only to see enormous dark clouds but no rain, I was thrilled to hear that Caroline & Chris were willing to give it a shot. (I was so excited to get to play with a dramatic sky!)

We only got to shoot for about 15 minutes before we felt some rain drops and it got too dark. It’s amazing how fast the sky can change!

Caroline & Chris: I had so much fun with you two! Thanks for being spontaneous with me! =)

Only two weeks yet! Can’t wait!

I haven’t had the chance to photograph many high school seniors but if all of them are like Orion, then sign me up!!

Last week we headed to one of my favorite locations to shoot: downtown Nashville. What a fun. Orion was up for anything I wanted to try… which, to be totally honest, makes my day!! (Yes, it’s true. The more you trust me and the more freedom I have during a shoot, the better.)

Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy!

Friends and family came from all across the country for Mary Beth and Jerod’s weekend of wedding celebrations! There were activities and get-togethers planned from Friday morning through Sunday. It was one big party and you could tell everyone was having a blast!

Here are a few of our favorites from the day (just enough to give you a taste of what is to come).

Most of the father-daughter dances we’ve seen are slow and sweet. This one was rockin’! Loved it!!
