On February 5, Alix and Josh stood in front of their friends and family to commit their lives together. It was such a sweet and moving ceremony. Even though the weather was cold and rainy, the day still turned out perfectly! The details were gorgeous and I simply love cute, red shoes! Don’t you?

We ended our 2009 wedding season photographing the amazing Melanie & Clayton! As we began planning all of the details for the coverage of their October wedding, they made it very clear how important it was that we have lots of time for portraits before the ceremony. In fact, they even rented a trolley bus to drive the entire bridal party (plus us) to the four different locations Melanie had picked out ahead of time. For 2 and a half hours, we had complete creative freedom to do what we wanted. Cade and I were in “portrait heaven” and everyone was having a blast! So fun!

The fabulous Boxwood Bistro hosted the reception. I absolutely loved all the details, from the modern table arrangements to the outdoor lighting on the balcony. Everything was perfect!

Clayton & Melanie: We had a blast working with you and your friends/family! It was a fabulous day and we am so excited for you both! Thank you again for fully trusting us and our creative ideas. You are a photographer’s dream!

A few weeks ago Michelle and Michael got married in the lovely Cheekwood Herb Garden. To our delight, they choose to see each other before the ceremony and we set up an intimate “first look”. Then we had a blast walking around the beautiful grounds finding wonderful places for portraits. They are one good looking couple!

Their reception began on the back patio of the Frist Learning Center. One of the many beverages they served was hot cider and it went perfect with the chilly, fall weather!

What a beautiful and fun wedding! Melissa and John got married a few weeks ago at the West End United Methodist Church in Nashville. All of the details were simply stunning and beautifully coordinated by the women from A Delightful Day. We had such a good time getting to hang out with them, their friends and family. Everyone was having such a good time!

Their reception took place in the brand new Hutton Hotel. Super T definitely took the party to a whole new level with their amazing music and dance moves. It was groovy!

John & Melissa: We had a blast working with you and your families! Thank you so much for allowing us to share this wonderful day with you!

Last weekend I was honored to assist Kate as she photographed a wedding for Studio 5. We had a blast working together and I really enjoyed being the 2nd set of eyes! These are my favorite images from the day. Kudos to Kate for the creative posing!

A few weeks ago, Cade and I traveled up to Kansas City to attend the wedding of my dear friend, Danielle. Even though my main duty was “matron of honor”, I couldn’t help but bring my camera along to share my perspective of the events. =) The day began with brunch at an amazing, local diner. Then Danielle and I headed off to get her makeup and hair done. What a gorgeous bride!

Cade took over my un-official photographer role, so I could take a turn walking down the aisle, standing next to my friend and crying. I couldn’t help myself! =)

Congrats! You did it!!

Two weeks ago we photographed a very intimate wedding that took place at the bride’s parent’s home in Ashland City. It was a beautiful, outdoor setting and both Charity and Brian looked spectacular! Much to our delight, they decided to see each other before the ceremony so that we would have lots of time for pictures. As soon as we were ready to begin, the rain stopped as if on cue. Nice!

Brian & Charity: you were such a pleasure to work with and we really did feel like family! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of such an important day!

I’ll admit it, if there were a 12 step program for facebook addicts, I would probably be admitted by none other than my baby, Cade. Sigh. Well, he probably wouldn’t do it, but facebook IS addicting! =) My main excuse for the hours I have spent searching, looking at and stalking my friends is this: in no other (single) place do I have contact with someone from each of the 12 different settings/groups/cities that I have been a part of throughout my young life. That’s right. I have facebook friends that knew me when I was born, others who watched me grow up, some who went to one of the 3 colleges I did, professional photographer friends and some that go to our church… to name a few of the 12. These friends span at least 5 continents which makes this daily connection all the more fun!!

IMHO, it doesn’t get any better than that… unless of course I could travel to Italy, Australia, Germany, China, Spain, Turkey, Chile, Argentina, Canada, Mexico and Ecuador everyday!

So, are YOU on facebook?

We would love for you to join our Inara Studios group. See you there! =)

P.S. If you become my facebook friend, you will see some more pictures of Cade and yours truly (taken just a few weeks ago).

After many, MANY late nights, Cade and I are so proud to present our brand-spankin’ new, 2nd generation website and blog (did you notice the difference already? =).

Oh, my goodness… I am SO excited right now!!

The process seemed to take forever but each site, with its new images, content, packages… the whole works, is DONE! Finito!

Let us know what you think about our new groove… and come back often. We’ve got lots of goodies coming your way!
