We LOVE word of mouth referrals and Tracy and Josh are a perfect example of this. We met them while working with Stacey and Daniel two years ago, and we are honored that they have asked us to photograph their upcoming September wedding. It’s going to be a fun reunion of friends!

For their engagement session, we decided to go to the amazing Carnton Plantation in Franklin. Even though it was chilly, we couldn’t have asked for a nicer day in February. We laughed a lot as we walked around using every corner of the property. I am so pleased to share just a few of my favorites…

Josh and Alix were referred to us by a very special, 2008 bride and groom. (Chris & Caroline, you guys rock!!) In their consultation we asked them to tell us about their wedding plans - especially the things they were really excited about. Josh’s answer really surprised us. He said, that one of the things he was the most excited about was their engagement session. How fun!!!

Even though we accidentally chose the coldest day to be outside, the two hours flew by and I couldn’t be happier with the results. These two were SO much fun to photograph!

What a fun couple! John and Melissa met me last week to do their engagement session and I could tell it was a big deal to them. Melissa brought a little “emergency” baggie full of goodies and they both looked great! I love how they completely trusted me and were willing to do anything I suggested! But above all, the thing I loved the most was how they interacted with each other. They are so in love and it shows on the outside… which makes taking romantic pictures so much fun!

Melissa & John: I am so excited to work with you guys on your wedding day. It is going to be a blast, I just know it!!!

The season for engagement sessions has begun! This amazing spring weather tells me our 2009 wedding season is right around the corner!

Kicking it off is Charity & Brian. They were so much fun to work with! Charity’s laugh is one of the cutest things ever!

We are so excited about May!!

Later this month, Cade and I will be ending our 2008 wedding season with Kimberly and Stephen’s wedding. They have been planning this special day for a long time and I can’t wait to see all of the plans and details come to life!

We scheduled an “early” morning engagement session for them. The lighting was absolutely beautiful!

James and Chelsea are so easy going and fun to be around. Even though it was cold and cloudy the day of their session, we had such a great time together. I really am excited about working with them again in May when they get married.

This weekend Cade and I will be out of town shooting a wedding in Missouri. All emails and phone calls will be answered Monday. Thanks for understanding!

Last week I got to hang out with Rachel and Shaun, who are planning a January wedding. Together, we found some fantastic locations on the Vanderbilt campus. I am very proud of them for helping me make their session unique!

Shooting these two love birds was a bit tricky. The day we had scheduled turned out to be cloudy and rainy. Caroline and I kept checking the weather throughout the day to see if we were going to have to reschedule. Late that afternoon, after I looked outside only to see enormous dark clouds but no rain, I was thrilled to hear that Caroline & Chris were willing to give it a shot. (I was so excited to get to play with a dramatic sky!)

We only got to shoot for about 15 minutes before we felt some rain drops and it got too dark. It’s amazing how fast the sky can change!

We did the 2nd half of the session a few days ago. =)

Only two weeks yet! Can’t wait!

Last week we walked around Hillsboro Village for Beth and Ravi’s engagement shoot. What fun! I love going to new places and finding interesting walls/buildings/props to incorporate into an image.

It sure was hot outside that day (what’s new?!?) but it didn’t keep us from getting great shots of the two of them! You guys are just plain cute!! =)

Last week, right before all of the 4th of July festivities, we met Mary Beth and Jerod in downtown Nashville for their engagement session. We had a blast walking around to different, unique locations that were special to them. (If you are not from Nashville you need to come just to see some of these places!)

I loved working with these two! They were so natural, relaxed, fun and spontaneous in front of the cameras! And to top all of that off, they were just stinkin’ cute too!
