As you know one of my goals for this blog is to showcase some fun, creative and modern ideas for displaying images in your home. If you have children, I bet you have a million and one prints that you would love to display but not enough room to frame them all. A while back I came across this really fun idea from the fabulous Nate & Jaclyn Kaiser of The Image is Found (I LOVE their work!!) and I have been dying to share it!

This is my personal interpretation of what they have in their home.

Modern Ideas for displaying images in your home

These three magnet boards hang beside my desk (where all of the after-magic happens).

Just like the Kaisers, I bought the magnet boards from Ikea but I used magnets I already had. I still really want to buy these adorable ones from the Container Store that they used!

Isn’t this fun?

What I also love about this idea is that you can update the boards as the year goes on. The prints that come down go straight into an album. It’s a win-win all around!

On Saturday I received my Fall/Christmas Pottery Barn catalog in the mail and as usual, I drooled over the beautiful spreads. To be perfectly honest, I signed up to get the catalog so I could be inspired with their decorating ideas but I usually end up going somewhere else for my purchases unless I find a great deal. I am delighted that once again, their beautiful, white or black, wooden gallery frames are 20% off!

They only have some of the smallest sizes left, but the shipping is free. Available by internet or catalog only!

Today I received the newest West Elm catalog and I was thrilled! I love looking through their displays because their style, which is very modern and yet simple, is my favorite! Today I was especially excited to see their new, black or white, wooden frames with mats. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money, yet you want beautiful displays of your images in your home, buy good frames (such as these) and put your prints in them. You can coordinate your wall display by the colors in the image, or if you want to make a bold statement, go with black and white prints. (If you need help with this editing process, please email me. I’d love to help!)

Frames ranging from 6″x 8″ to 18″x 24″, $16-$54.

You can keep your display simple by arranging the same frame beside each other (in sets of 2 or more), or mix it up with big and small frames all together. There is no limit to the options available!!

The best part about using frames is that you can exchange the prints as often as you want. New season, fresh photos! Every time it’s “in with the new”, put the old prints in an album. There’s no waste here!

Head over to West Elm to see what you think. I’m going to stock up on some for myself.

One of my biggest goals right now is to provide lots of ideas for using images as decorations/wall art. For that reason I was THRILLED to receive an email from Pottery Barn with a link to the following images. Now I’m drooling over making one of our rooms look like this.

Be inspired! Think about what images you have and get them up on a wall! (And then please send me pictures!)
