The other day I was reminded of the fact that when I was a little girl I would spend hours laying in the grass looking up at the sky. I loved pretending that the clouds were different objects. As a teenager I would go up to the roof of our house (don’t worry, it was safe!) and sit for hours looking at the stars. The sky has always had a way of overwhelming me and helping me keep the right perspective in life as well as just making me helplessly romantic- it can be so beautiful!!!!

As I was driving home the other day I saw these clouds with the sun rays shining through. We don’t get many nice sunsets here in Nashville and it looked so incredible! Sometimes I wish we lived somewhere like New Mexico where the skies are always so beautiful! (Don’t worry we don’t have any plans of moving.)

On Thursday Cade and I got to travel down to Atlanta to do a lifestyle portrait session with Duane, Lily and Adrian. Adrian turned 1 year old in July and sure has changed in the last few months! He practiced walking for us and was constantly on the go. It was a challenge to keep up with him!
It was really fun to be able to document some of their regular interactions!

First steps: He would really crack up every time he made it between Duane and Lily. He looked so proud of himself!

If you look really closely you’ll see Adrian now has two teeth on top!
