As most of you know by now, I grew up in Ecuador. And yes, that means I speak fluent Spanish and love rice! =)
My parents have been missionaries there since 1990. Having them so far away is hard, especially on holidays but I wouldn’t trade their love for Latin America for anything! This year for Thanksgiving, Cade and I went down to Atlanta to be with my brother and sister and their families. In the past, us kids have also lived on different continents so we definitely take advantage of the fact that right now we are only 3 and a half hours away. (I really hope they don’t move anytime soon but given our MK track record… anything is possible! =)
While together, we had strict instructions from our Mum to take some updated photos, so we headed outside the last day to fulfill her wishes. It was butt cold but she loves the photos anyways!
My brother, his wife and boys.

My sister and her husband…

Who’s that guy in the beard? Oh, yah. My husband.

The boys sure love their “tio” Cade.

Dad and Mum, we missed sharing our Thanksgiving meal with you but we are proud of what you are doing in Ecuador! We’ll see you next summer!

Hi Marcia!
I have been a blogstalker before, I admit it! I am so glad I popped on here now to see how to send you a message and say great meeting you at the PUG party because I now know something we have in common. We are both Spanish Speakers! Its very rare to find another “white girl” (at least seemingly) that is fluent.
This shoot for your sister is so touching, by the way. Hope to see you again at PUG : )
